Our Present for this year

After much discussion Brad and I decided that we would like to have a fire pit for our together gift this year.
With Paul's help we worked so hard to get it ready for the Memorial Day Gathering ----- but due to the miserable weather it sat quiet the whole weekend.  Maybe this week.

Could it get any colder or wetter --- I DON'T THINK SO

We met on Sunday afternoon to honor our husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather at the Bothwell Valley View Cemetery.  It felt like the North Pole.  So terribly cold and the wind blowing like crazy.  What wonderful children.  A quick trip to the Elwood Cemetery to honor Grandpa Duane and Carlos and then it was home for an INDOOR BARBECUE.  No outside activities today.  I am so very grateful for such a supportive and wonderful family.

No Matter Where She Goes

Have sewing machine will travel ---- that is definitely Tonya's motto.  Even during the trip to St. George she was able to squeeze in some sewing.  She is also doing some purple and gold sewing for Box Elder - Nate doesn't think this is real neat.  I just feel bad that people to not really understand the great talent that she has and the many hours that are devoted to it in the service of others.

Quilts for the Senior Boys on the Baseball Team

Heather --- It was so fun

With mom and dad's help Heather was in business on Saturday with her first Lemonade Stand.  She said that it was so much fun.  At first the lemonade was free but then someone gave her a quarter which was so neat.  After that it was a quarter.  One of the little neighbor boys in the cul-de-sac joined her in the project ----- his job was to find customers.  Nichole and the boys drove from Syracuse and surprised her which made her so happy.  This little gal has a great future.

Happy Birthday to Hunter B.

This year is a very special Birthday for Hunter B.  He is celebrating number twelve.  He is now the age when he can receive the Aaronic Priesthood.  This will be of such a great blessing to Hunter in his life.  He will be able to service others in our Heavenly Fathers family with this Priesthood authority.  I hope that he will always honor his priesthood and remember that he is a very special young man to be able to have it.
Hunter is one terrific grandson.  One of these very first days I hope "He Will Miss Me" because I sure do miss him.  That little twinkle in his eyes and that shy little smile really is special.  Hunter is an excellent student and a good friend.  He does however, have just a bit of a stubborn streak but, with a bit of humor and coaxing we can usually get by it.  Pictures are hard to get of Hunter and he loves to give me a bad time when I am trying to get one of him.  Now, when it comes to eating Hunter is the very worst.  Lots and lots of bread fills his plate but not much else.  I worry that he may never acquire a taste for the good stuff, but he seems to be doing okay.  We are very proud of Hunter and are excited for all of the wonderful things that he will be doing and will be accomplishing.  Keep up the good work.

Shaylee ----- We love you

Sometimes love is hard --- but sometimes it is soft.  Shaylee I love you and you are in my heart and prayers.

Finding Answers

Yesterday I had an appointment with Dr. Todd Miller ---- I have the shingles AGAIN.  In checking my history and after some discussion we are going to try a new way of approaching how I feel and see if I can get on top.  I also must try to make some changes in my life to find the peace that I need to become healthy and strong.  It will be okay.

A First for Me

On our way home Saturday we checked on Hansen Park --- again.  The river was still high and was coming over the banks some.  However,  this motor boat is a first for me ---- usually we see canoes and people pushing them on the Bear River, not a motor boat.  Enjoy! before long it should go down to nothing again.  The park is looking poorly ---- Brad will have so much work.  Hate to see it.

Seminary Graduation for Skylar

Sunday afternoon we traveled to Syracuse for Skylar's Seminary Graduation.  It was a very nice evening.  The youth gave wonderful talks and a young man played a piano solo that was so good.  They all looked so young and I know they have no idea what is ahead and I guess that is probably the best.  I do hope that Skylar will continue to make good choices and that he will grow in his testimony of our Savior and His gospel.  Seems like only yesterday he was a tiny little child.  After the meeting we went to the Isaacson home for brownies and ice cream.  Fun time

Birthday Visitors

On Saturday  evening when we returned home from the Birthday Party we had a nice visit from the Firth's and Nielsens.  The little ones are so fun and really keep everyone going.  Oh! for the vitality of the little ones.  They are so special.  Carli was still a bit under the weather with the removal of her wisdom teeth but I am so glad she came to visit.  Thanks so much for another special birthday.
I appreciated the calls from the Woodruffs and Despains.  Tonya, Nate and MacKenzie arrived home safe from St. George and reported that they had an AWESOME time together.  It was Amy's weekend to work but will be seeing the Despain family soon.  Thank you children.  I love You

We had so many fun birthday visitors ---- Because we were gone most of Saturday they came on Sunday. They had called earlier so I knew they would be coming and had planned on feeding at least some. However, this did not work out ----- but I had made a batch of hot rolls and cinnamon rolls and they were just coming out of the oven when the Nesbits arrived from Logan and Mary and Damon came from Riverside. We enjoyed the warm treats together even if dinner was not possible. Dan and Glenda had come over on the motorcycle and the skies were really getting dark so needed to head home before the storm came. (they did not make it ---- the rain got them) Glenda carried over a beautiful tomato plant for me and I sent her home with rolls for the family. She just carries it on her lap. I am so glad they are enjoying each other and doing fun things together. Mary and Damon came after church and she had taught her Sunday lesson. Todd was at work so she would preparing dinner for her family when he got home. I was glad I could send home some rolls to help.

It was then off to Syracuse for Skylars Seminary Graduation.

Party Time

Saturday was party time at the Soria home.  Natalie and Sid had prepared a great birthday party for Samuel.  They also shared the fun day with the rest of us birthday people, Clayton, Garin and myself.  For the first time in a long time we were able to enjoy a warm afternoon with not a sign of rain.  It was such a fun relaxing day.  I totally enjoyed this time together and I know everyone felt special and enjoyed themselves.
