Island Park

This afternoon Brad and I are going to Island Park with the Despain family.

Baby Gracie is growing

Brittani had baby Gracie for a check up yesterday with Dr. Miller. She is doing good. Now weighs six pounds and nine ounces. That still puts her in the four percentile Carli says but so glad she is growing.

Kaden is walking

Yesterday Kaden became an official walker. With good shoes on his feet he headed down the sidewalk. What an exciting time for his family.

New View from our House

Today the workmen completed taking down the Hay Shed.  We have a new view at our house.

The last Pole

A new view

Headed for Bud's farm ----

Last Memories when barn was holding hay and this special couple

Lots of love from this couple and lots of love when I think about Grandpa Duane and Brad and the hard work that went into building the Hay Shed many years ago.  Today as I sat and watched Grandpa Duane was in my thoughts ----- I think he will be okay with this decision-----He really did like a tidy place

A Special Day

July 28, 1960, in the Temple by the River, Dale and I were married.  It was indeed a very beautiful day.  We had looked forward to this day when we would no longer be separated by the miles.  I am grateful for this special day and all of those who helped to make it so nice.  My parents had worked and planned to make it a wonderful day.  I hope I remembered to tell them thank-you.
I never ever thought that fifty one years would pass and things would be changed so much.  I know that with all that has happened in my life that Heavenly Father has always been with me to make the path a little easier.  I love Dale S. Firth very much.  He was my first love and the special father of my children.  I hope he is happy with the life that I have continued to live since he died.
We had fun Dale,  you never let life get too dull.  You were always thinking of the next project or surprise.  I wish I could see you for just a minute to let you know that I feel blessed to have been a part of your life.  As time goes on and I grow even older I often wonder what eternity holds.  I have been so blessed to have two great men to share my life with.  I wonder if in Heaven reverse polygamy could be an option.
The last movie that we shared was with Robert Redford and Barbra Streisand -"The Way We Were".  We both enjoyed this evening and the song is special to me this day.  Today tears fill my eyes yet love and peace are with me when I think of you.  My Love

Hansen Park

Last evening I rode to the park with Brad so he could change the water and lock it up.  It is heartbreaking to see the results of the flood water standing so long.  One of the nice new maple trees has died,  so much of the grass has been killed out and now as it is dry again he is trying to keep it watered so maybe the grass will return.  He works so hard ----- and comes home so tired.

I had a Rainboe on the left side and storm clouds on my right side ------ but no rain for us ------ it would really help Brad to get caught up if Heavenly Father would irrigate for a couple of days.

An Outing for the Isaacsons

Jeff, Nichole and the boys spent some fun time at one of the 10,000 lakes in Minnesota.  She said it was about ten minutes from their home.  Maybe this was a reward for getting the garage finished.  They were able to pull in the trailblazer "barely".  She said only inches to spare.
They had fun playing in the water and relaxing on the beach.

Dan and Glenda ----- Road Trip

Dan and Glenda  took their first road trip on the new motorcycle.  They headed to Idaho Falls, Idaho, to see an exhibit at the Idaho Falls, Museum ----- "The Human Body".    They stopped by on Sunday on their way back to Logan.  Glenda said it was nice but, her bottom was really tired and it was hot.  They took a drive to Ucon, my home town, and said that it looks just terrible.  It is heart breaking to know that the place you played and loved so much has become such an ugly place.  She was so sad to see all the changes.  They loved the falls and seeing the temple.  I will try to get some copies of their pictures.  Glad they are home safe.

Sam and Mom -----Heather and Dad

The Sorias had one on one time this weekend.  Sam and Natalie visited with Brad and I on Saturday and Sunday.  Heather and Sid headed to Island Park to spend time at the Kettle cabin.  They will return home today.

Sam and Grandpa loved teasing and playing ----- what a wonderful living room ---- so glad when little ones come

Headed to watch the "fire" (fireworks) in Tremonton ----- Nope the sun was not shining

The fireworks were beautiful

Waffles, bacon, and banana for breakfast ----- wait it might have been lunch since Sam slept until 11:30

Heather floated the river with her dad ----- report is that she did great

Two little bugs in a rug ------- Heather and Max

MacKenzie in the All Star Game at Tremonton Days

MacKenzie the Catcher

MacKenzie the batter and runner

MacKenzie playing field ----- MacKenzie on the winning team

Her family is always a great support

Garrett has fun with Grandma Teresa

Beautiful Temple

We took a drive to Brigham City to see the Angel Moroni on the top of the temple.  It has been fun watching the temple be built.  We have tried to drive down about every two weeks to see the progress.  Of course, we cannot go to Brigham City without a trip to Maddoxs ----- our favorite place.

The Barn ---- willl it ever get done

Woke up early to the sounds of truck and equipment working on barn.  They will remove the roof and set it up at Buds, but Bud will be taking down the remaining parts.  Hope he isn't as slow as usual.  Just want this cleaned up.

Bud's hay shed ----- just not the same without the white redwood uprights ------ Brad has received several comments about a landmark being taken down.  It has been a part of the Frank farm for many many years, but I am sure that Grandpa Duane would not want to see the sheds and buildings become totally in disrepair as Brad grows older and can not give them the proper care.  It will be good to complete the work

Dear Family

It has been such a fun, busy time for Brad and I ----- in fact all the time is fun and busy.  I will continue to try and get my blog up-dated but you will just have to keep checking the older posts.  Love Mom

Minnesota Zoo

Tuesday - July 12, 2011

Brad and I were worn out from walking the Mall of America and because the trip to the Zoo had to be on a tight schedule we stayed at the house and did laundry, rested, and kept Daisy company.  It was another good day for the children.  The Zoo has a shark, a dolphin show, and several other animals not in our local zoo.  However, they did not have some of the animals that Hogle Zoo has.  I guess the environment must play into this.

Somehow Tristin evaded his mom's pictures.

Fun time at Mall of America

The  house will wait, Monday was the most important day ----- a trip to the MALL OF AMERICA.

MacKenzie is lovin it ----- her and Aunt Nichole loved the shopping ---- we had fun too

The BIG kids really gave me a hard time in getting their pictures.  Could only get them when not looking.

Ended the day with some final shopping ------ a great and successful day ----- going home TIRED

A Minnesota Rain Experience

Even though Nichole says she is officially tired of rain I don't think it will totally go away.  Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes and I am sure that they help generate some of the rain along with the Great Lakes.  It does make for a very green and beautiful landscape.  However, it does raise the humity a bit.  Yesterday she said it was 91 degrees with 71% humity.  I am glad they have a nice AIR CONDITIONED home.  She said Clay went out to ride his bike and came in five minutes later all flushed.  Time will bring adjustment and soon they will not even notice the change from our dry heat to Minnesota's wet heat.

Can't see the tires on Jeff's car
