We headed home from American Fork to Tremonton to be able to be Skylar when he would be ordained to the office of an Elder in the Melchizedek Priesthood. We make it by the skin of our teeth. They waited the five extra minutes for us. We had left our home that morning at eleven for American Fork. Busy day.
Skylar is preparing for a mission. Due to the distance that is between him and his parents it was time for him to be ordained or else he would be late in getting his mission papers in. He is staying with his grandparent Isaacsons in Tremonton and will receive his call from the Tremonton Sixth Ward. He will be able to submit papers the first of March but his parents will not be out again until next summer. He wanted his father to preform this ordination so while they were here it was approved and done. He is truly a fine young man who has set his sights on serving his Father in Heaven as a missionary. Our prayers are always with Skylar as he goes forward in his life. He is learning some great skills right now to help him serve. Commitment ---- helping at the garden, laundry ----on his own, responsibility ---- driving new cars for Murdocks, thriftiness ----- budgeting his own money and so many more lessons. He is doing a great job.
