Sunday at our House

Brad and I enjoyed visits from several family members on Sunday.  The Despains came from Stansbury Park and enjoyed dinner with us.  Jacob had asked Grandma if we could have Yorkshire Pudding.  After five pieces I still think he could have eaten more ----- but it was all gone.  Such a fun tradition in our family.  I do hope it goes on for many more generations.
Heidi and Damon came in the early afternoon.  Mine and Brad's hair was in such need of being cut.  With Heidi's busy work schedule we have not been able to find a time that would work.  Yesterday ---- had to be the day.  We so appreciate her and her willingness to come to our home and make us presentable.
The Isaacson family arrived home from their trip to Minnesota.  The had a wonderful time together seeing so many new places.  I am glad that Jeff was able to drive home with them.  I just wish he did not have to fly back in the morning.  Oh! how I wish that ideal job would come about in Utah.  Daisy was excited beyond belief to see her family.  Saturday and Sunday she was just so sad and lonesome.  I do not believe that we could have coaxed her to stay with us with the best of treats.
Meagan, Garen and Baby Tyler came to visit and brought us a wonderful cheesecake pie.  Brad and I will certainly enjoy it this week.  It has been so nice having them next door.  Watching little Tyler grow has been very special.  He has the most endearing smile and this darling little laugh.  I love him.  They are going to be looking at places to live in Logan now ------  we will be sad.
Teresa and Paul stopped for a short visit ---- however, Roscoe kept Teresa on the move ---- seems like even though they are next door they don't get over too much.  We appreciate the love and kindness to us.
Tonya, Nate and MacKenzie came by to borrow a hook and eye for her queen dress.  Lots of fun was had with MacKenzie trying on and modeling this pretty dress for us.  What a terrific mom----- she is always making or sewing something beautiful for her family and other people.  Her sewing machine must have a million miles on it.
Brittani, Kevin and Kinley walked over with the Brewers to say hi.  That little Kinley is growing so fast.  She can say so much with her eyes.  Brittani says that she is feeling better now and all seems to be good.  Kevin will be going to work at his government job today ---- and he will get paid because of the bill congress passed that extends the government operations for a week.  Kevin said he would have had to gone to work even if it had not been extended.
However, Tonya was hoping they would shut the government down.  She really wanted to stay home from her government job.
Brandon and Jordan stopped over to say a very quick hello to everyone.  Came for Teresa to do his taxes.

The evening was coming to a close when everyone had left.  Brad and I watched the Amazing Race that we had recorded earlier.  Still hoping that the Cowboys can pull it off.  They just remind us of the kind of people that we are.  Clean cut, honest, hard working, and happy.  Also, seeing the conditions and customs of other lands makes me feel grateful for my home here in Elwood.
To close the evening I made a quick call to my younger brother Larry to wish him a happy birthday. He was born in 1944 so I guess that makes him 67.
