A Windy Day

Wind, wind go away! High winds did a number at the Soria house today. It brought double trouble. The east fence is gone and Carli's new car was where some of it hit. Some scratches were added and a new paint job will be needed.
The east side of the garage has lost shingles and tar paper. The roof over the kitchen also has similar damage. Other areas of the roof have some lost shingles.
On top of this the power has been out all day. Sid just called to say it had just come back on.

Brad and I and Skylar picked up some tar paper and nails and headed to Farmington at about three to help.
Great fun-----when we got there we had a flat tire on the front driver's side of the pick up. That is the repaired tire from our last little episode. Brad says no more-----new tires will be had.
Natalie and the children are spending the night with us. Sam got Skylar to sleep over. We have the air mattress in the family room for "party time". It is always fun to have family.

Sid has been working with the insurance company and today he has contacted a roofing man.  The man came early this morning and finished getting the roof protected for stormy weather.  Natalie said that Sid told her that the insurance people had about (I think) 900 people involved in getting homes secured.  Such crazy weather.

After a nice breakfast this morning Natalie, Heather and Sam headed for home.  Much relieved that things would be okay.  As for Skylar----- he headed home to sleep the day away.

A very dreary day but also very beautiful
These apartments are on the new road going to the Sorias ----- they took some major damage from the wind

Fence gone on the east and shingle and tar paper damage

Hey Mr. Sid!  you are not suppose to use that arm ----- it is so cold ----- Natalie gathering more blown garbage

That little trip to Pocatello Valley is becoming even more expensive.  The repaired tire did not hold

Home to Grandma and Grandpa's for a party and warm sleep
Skylar with his head on the floor and feet on the bed ---- he said he was that way for only a few minutes
