Miracles and Blessings

Little baby Gracie came home with her Mom and Dad on Saturday.  It was a great surprise to Mom and Dad and everyone.  But ----- it is the most wonderful blessing ever.   Kevin and Brittani were expecting Gracie to be in the NICU for maybe about two weeks.  They were planning on how they could stay close to Gracie when Brittani was released from the hospital.  They had talked about renting a half room at the hospital.  When they received the news that both mom and baby were going to be released they were so happy.  They arrived home in the early afternoon.  Gracie came home in a car bed lent to them by the hospital.  She is too small to ride in a car seat yet.  They will use this car bed for about a month if Gracie needs to go in the car. I believe that Brittani told me she weighed about four pounds and twelve ounces.  Not sure if the ounces are right.

Brad and I stopped in and I was able to hold her.  She is so beautiful.  So perfect in every way.  She is so small but so alert.  Her little mouth reminds me so much of her big sister Kinley.  I do know that everyones prayers were answered that Brittani and Gracie would be okay and that their doctors would have all the necessary knowledge and skills to care for them.  We will continue to always remember them in our prayers.
