Hooray for Today

Arrived at Jeff's apartment at about three thirty. Hot and tired but happy. Waiting for code to get into townhouse. This was a beautiful drive. Fields and fields and more fields. Brad has totally loved it. We always lost Jeff and Nichole because they could drive faster but we always got to the destination spot first. Kind of like the story of the tortuous and the hare. Brad did a great job of driving and Betty the GPS was spot on. We probably could have saved a little more time but Clay needed a lot of pit stops. Finally told him no more drinking. He kept us laughing. Jacob and Clay are so fun and were such great travelers. Total miles to here 1405. Long way
The Mississippi

So Tired and so glad to be out of the vehicles

Brad and I were the first to arrive because the GPS took us on a better route than Jeff's.  They then had to go to Maple Grove to finalize the lease.  However, the owner refused to let us in until 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning.  It was so very hot at the apartment ---- Jeff tried his very best to make it comfortable but the little cooler just could not keep up with all of the bodies.  I was struggling with the heat and humidity.  Took a shower, dried myself off, walked out and felt like I had just showered.  I was becoming quite sick so Brad suggested that he take me out to the Pick-up and cool down.  We were both so very tired.  We ended up spending the night in the truck.  About every hour Brad would start the motor and turn on the air to cool it down.  We slept of and on for the night.  Kind of strange but Brad said it was just like irrigating and he had slept many a night in his truck.  The apartment had cooled down during the night and everyone was much refreshed.

The owner did text at 6:00 a.m. with the security code so Saturday would be a big day of emptying the U-Haul, the Penske Truck and Nichole's Trailblazer.
Great excitement to see where HOME will be
Nichole was determined she could put this together ---- Tristin came to help

Checking it out ---- Lots of space and a Harry Potter room too

Jeff, Brad, Skylar, Tristin, MacKenzie, Hunter, Jacob, Clay and Nichole did a great job of unloading.  I straightened and unwrapped and did laundry as I could.  By Saturday night everyone had a place to sleep and rest was good.  However, I know that Jeff and Nichole stayed up much later than the rest of us.  By adding their personal items to the walls it really began to feel like their home.  It is a very large home on three levels.  It will give them each their own space to have quiet time.
