"So how is retirement?" we are often asked ---- "couldn't be better will be our reply" ---- time for each other and time for family ---- and that leaves no time for self pity. Loving every minute and grateful for each new day. When given the chance we load up and are on our way. Being with family is the best that life can offer. And their sweet love and kindness in return makes each day just a bit better

My the Work Never Seems to End
Grandpa and I are two busy old people. This week the kitchen has been the subject of our work. Rearranging and getting rid of has been the task. (Great inspiration from Sid) We have improved all the selves with new tile covering and grandpa has repaired sags and loose boards. It is coming along --- a new kitchen would be great but just not in the plans for now. Hopefully soon we can get a new pretty wood floor and some new lights and it will look half decent. Dennis will be coming on Monday to lay tile in the back porch so I guess it will be another clean it out, pull up the carpet, and shop for a new cabinet for the sink and over the sink. Then some painting has to be done. Hopefully each improvement will be final and in our older age we will not be doing this. Will add pictures when done. Very excited.
