Trip to Bryce for Grandpa's Meetings

Hello from Rubies Inn at Bryce Canyon ----- Grandpa has gone to the Presidents Reception but my cold is really getting to me so I am staying in the room. Is a very large and nice place. You would all like the swimming pool. Hope to be able to enjoy it - not the pool - and to sight see when Brad is not in meetings.

We are traveling with Flat Stanley ---Jacob's friend for school ---- He needs to travel around and see new places so we are helping out. The first picture is Big Rock Candy Mountain. It is quite amazing. We got off the freeway at Nephi and traveled the back way. Looked a lot like Snowville, but was fun to see the different towns and to travel higher. We packed a lunch and some treats and of course Pepsi.

We stopped in Panquich for gas and it brought me memories of College Days. One of my roommates - Bonnie Wiltshire - she was from Panquich and she was a very nice friend and roommate.

This photo is Flat Stanley at Red Canyon -- the beginning of Bryce -- This was really Breathtaking -- we stopped at the Forest Service Building and looked around and purchased the book The Hole in the Rock which I am reading while Brad is busy and he got a very detailed book of maps about Utah --- which he really enjoys studying.

The last photo is Flat Stanley at Red Canyon also. It is a wonder how these rocks do not just tumble down.
