"So how is retirement?" we are often asked ---- "couldn't be better will be our reply" ---- time for each other and time for family ---- and that leaves no time for self pity. Loving every minute and grateful for each new day. When given the chance we load up and are on our way. Being with family is the best that life can offer. And their sweet love and kindness in return makes each day just a bit better

Clayton Vacations at the Despains
Jacob and Clayton had a few fun days together. Mamma Despain and Daddy Despain planned lots of fun times for the two cousins. Clayton said he had a good time but Amy was worried that she had starved him. All mothers cook different and every family eats different and Clayton did not eat alot. Amy told him he would have to eat three grapes to get dessert. She said it was funny to see how hard it was for him to get them down. When Jacob was at the summer workshop at his school Clayton went grocery shopping with Amy. He found lots of fun things he would like ---- but it was time to come back to Elwood. These two little boys are both very strong willed and sometimes they both get just a bit bossy, but if left alone they can usually work it out. I hope they will always be friends. Family is so important in life's big picture.

Not Again-----When Does it End

To Mexico
Today Justin is leaving for Brazil. He will be attending the dedication of the Maunous Temple. He has been so excited for this day. So thrilled that his saints will have the blessing of a temple in their area. It will be a long flight with a long lay over in Sao Palo before the final leg back north to Maunous. Look forward to hearing all about this trip. Glenda called at two to say they had dropped him of at the Salt Lake City airport.
I love this ---- doing some sightseeing |

Fun at the zoo
Jacob and his family have been to the zoo twice since school let out. The first time was the grand opening of the polar bear exhibit. Yesterday was another fun day. The polar bear was putting on a great show.
When the Isaacsons Return
When Nichole and the boys go back home to Minnesota Jeff will have moved them to their new house. It will be nice for them to have a yard where the boys can play, they can have cookouts and Daisy can run. We are excited for them.

So Very Tired
Brad and I have spent the last two days trying to organize and clean closets and our very messy garage. Tonight we fill that we have accomplished much. Still more to sort through but a good start has been made. We will do more in the fall. So tired for now. Tomorrow Brad will mow at the cemetery and then Friday the park along with our three yards. I am cleaning some very dirty vehicles on the inside before we hit the car wash. We never seem to get caught up. The Isaacsons will arrive Friday and begin a very busy three days. Life is good and we are blessed even if we are worn out.
Ryder James Owens
Today was the birth of Shaylee and Cassidy's son. A c-section took place at about four today since this little boy never did turn right. Dr. Todd Miller is Shaylee's doctor. He preformed the delivery with the assistance of Dr. Jeff Lish. Mother and son are doing well.

MacKenzie is a teenager
I am behind-----MacKenzie turned thirteen yesterday, June 4th. We enjoyed delicious cake and ice cream with her and her family on Sunday evening. She is a character and full of a lot of spunk and craziness. MacKenzie is perhaps one of the best baby sitters around. The little ones sense that she loves them and enjoys being with them. After she had helped Natalie over the weekend while Sid was gone, Sam was so concerned when she did not go home with him again. She is so loved by the little ones. MacKenzie always gives her very best whether it is playing ball, doing school work or being fiesty. We love this special granddaughter with the long beautiful blonde hair.
Happy Birthday Heidi
Today Heidi is enjoying her twenty third birthday. Mary said that she is exactly twenty years and six months older than this special daughter. Heidi is working at the Brigham City Wal Mart in the hair salon. She is putting her education to good use. We are so grateful to her for keeping our hair in good shape. We are proud that she has come out a winner after some hard times. Keep up the good work.
